Transmission of data, voice and video over the internet is a wave that will eventually engulf the world. That means there needs to be the technology in place to make internet access available to all, everywhere. It would need to be wireless, and WIMAX is a strong contender. There is more about WIMAX at www.wimax.com. Cisco just moved into this arena with the acquisition of Navini Networks.
