For years books as a source of information have presented a problem in the busy information age, because they are designed for linear reading, which means you must read through a lot of irrelevant material to get what you want. There has long been a need for a way to get information from them without going through that laborious process. Google has helped with fast retrieval of information, but doesn't get much information from books, which are still valuable for the best information.
