Computerworld has released a new report on the state of corporate security, addressing issues ranging from the old one about whether people keep their passwords on sticky notes to contemporary ones like the growing use of biometrics for access control. The report focuses on the widely employed risk based model for determining security levels for particular areas of systems. Growth in the strength of security has been an important ingredient of the development of e-business, but more work is needed. Biometrics may provide part but not all of the answer.
