Paying for purchases using cell phones is something that has taken a long time coming in North America, although it is farther ahead in other parts of the world. One of the problems has been to decide on a method of payment that works with Cell phones and is secure. Paypal, probably the most quickly rising star of online payment systems is coming out with a possible answer. It's Paypal Mobile, a service that enables customers to use Paypal to pay with the text messaging function of their cell phone. When a message is texted to a designated destination, the customer will receive a call on the cell phone to confirm the details. The purchase will then be charged through the customer's Paypal account. This service is not the first to use a call-back system, but is the first to use Paypal, which has been a remarkably successful method of payment on the Internet, principally on eBay.
